Easter Bunny Poo

Not your typical card, but I don't like to be the typical Aunt Chris. So I made these little boxes for my nieces as their "cards" filled with jelly beans, but in this picture are those mini cadbury chocolate eggs that I just loveee and am so glad they only sell during Easter ever year. Wow so yum.

For more information about them.. and a cute wabbit hunter story.

Enjoy!

The love of Purple

Hello Everyone !!
This is Terri from Ramblings of a Texas Craft Room. Today I have a card for you that is so easy to put together and yet so adorable. I love easy and adorable.
This card is an A-2 card made from K and Co die cut package. You can find these packages at Walmart or JoAnns. They run less than $5.00 and have from 30-60 die cuts in each package. You can make 10-15 wonderful colorful cards from that package and have lots left over for other things.
For this card I stamped the background with a music stamp then layered in  the die cuts. A small stamp was used for the sentiment. The felt butterfly and the pearls are from my stash.
When you get a chance stop by my blog and take a look at other projects and other ramblings I have there.

Thinking of Some Bunny!

Well...it's that time of year, the sun has been shining, the grass is turning green, and the leaves on the trees are already budding.

Actually a little early for this area this time of year, but I'm enjoying it just the same!

The family and I took in a little time to do some trout fishing, it was GREAT FUN!!  Got a little sun burn, but don't mind, felt good catching all that sun!  (Oh, and we did catch a few fish too!)

Thank you to all who joined in on our great SPRING HAS SPRUNG blog hop yesterday...there is still time to comment on the various blog to be eligible for the drawing of the grand prize!  So hope you stop in and do that!

My card today is spring like, and can easily be used with this weeks theme, "Thinking of You"

I have been slowly but surly using my scraps up this past year, really trying to dig in and not buy more papers or materials until I make a decent dent in my current stash!  The charms were some "JoAnns" dollar buys which I picked up probably about 5 years ago!  The stamp is a  Stampavie one....I colored it with my copics, trying to achieve the furry look of my bunny friends!

I had a lot of fun with this card, mainly because, I like trying different techniques with my copics, and it was one of my first time trying fur.

Hope you Enjoy!

With Sympathy Card

Of all the cards to do, the one I have trouble with the most is a sympathy card. Probably because of the emotions tied to the event.  Most of my cards are simple and clean, and this is no different.
I used three sheets of paper to make this card… two white cardstock, and one dappled grey letter paper.
For the card base, I used a letter sized sheet of cardstock, and printed the sentiment on the  top inside of the card ~ “Thinking of you at this difficult time", with an “X” centered just below it.
The card front has a piece just slightly smaller than it, embossed with a fern background. Then there is a title plate that I made, a simple rectangle with embossed edges that I made using my scor-pal.
The actual title is much clearer on the diagram below. It consists of two pieces…. a background piece cut just larger than the diagram, with the mottled grey paper, and the “with sympathy” element that is all one piece. I made it as follows:
  • In my cutter program, I wrote the words “With Sympathy” using Galaxy BT.
  • Added a 1/4 inch shadow layer or mat to the words.
  • Added 6 flowers, 3 with cut outs in their petals. And finally welded the items together. I then used the program to twist the title so it appears with a bit more depth. (I use Make the Cut)
The diagram below is from my view on my MTC workspace.
sympathy
I’m quite proud of the way it turned out.

Card a Day Blog - Baby Theme

The Baby theme direction I took was a shabby chic baby shower. Hi, it's me, Shirley Ross, and I took out the distressing tools and ink and to work I went.

My card is different and that is what I liked, I think I would actually dress shabby chic, maybe lacy gloves and an elegant vintage gift for the baby.

Please hope over to my blog, Mom 'n Me Scrap, to hear more about the card. And look forward to Shelley Bordeleau creation tomorrow, I know I am.

Baby Bottle Shaped card

This weeks designer challenge at the Card a Day Blog is baby cards!

Several years ago, when I first got my very first die cut machine (electronic based) I made a collection of "card files"

This is one of those files...perfect for a new baby, baby announcement, baby congratulations, or whatever!  You can change the outside panel, which is of a train....to a small picture of the new baby.

It's a "shaker" card, but you can actually choose to not cut the inside opening out, and leave it as a full card with no shaker box, whichever is easier to make or meets your needs!

The card can be found at my website, here:
http://www.paperthreads.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=66_70&products_id=3708

It includes assembly directions, and is very easy to put together!

Babies, So Sweet!

There is nothing like a new baby in the family! In fact we are expecting a new baby in our family in September. Currently my daughter is just throwing up her toe nails... but hey, been there done that, and grandparenting does not include that particular joy.........

Today's card(s) can be used as an announcement or congratulations.
For this card, I use MTC to print the digi stamp with registration marks that included the area of the card. Then I used the print and cut function to cut the card. (I love my Zing!)

Jump on over to my blog to see how I put this little beauty together and take a look at some other baby cards ( I have a hard time only making one card......)

For one of the cards I mounted the sentiment on an Action Wobble, these little plastic springs are awesome!

The card design is one of mine but the sentiment comes from Shelly's Art and can be found here.

Tea Time Baby Shower

Hi.. It's me again. Chris Durnan. Our theme is Baby. Recently a friend asked me for this card to have a Baby Shower that was a Tea Time.  The Mom to be ... who was feeling very worn out in her big baggy clothes went shopping for something nice to wear with her Mom ... and then they had a nice lunch and tea time with her best friends. She felt very pampered and rested for a day. How fun to spend the day with close friends and family and have "Tea".  So this card is not a typical baby card, but every time I look at it I think about how nice it can be to spend time with our loved ones and relax for even just a few moments. The power of bonding.
Thank you as always for stopping by the Card A Day Blog. I hope it inspires you always.
Enjoy!
Chris

Tomorrow's designer is. ...Terri Wright. Check back to see what she has.

Baby shower invite

Hello and welcome to another Card a Day card.  I am Patricia L., and you can find the recipe for this card on my blog, MDN Creates.

I made this card almost 2 years ago.  I made an invitation card last month, but, I wanted to show you that an invitation does not have be a one sheet card.   since this week is baby week, this card is perfect.    You can read what inspired me to show this card again (I did a post on it two years ago.)   It is a simple card, and once you cut out the baby, then putting this card together should be easy and quick.

So come over to my blog, and do not forget to enter the challenge for this month.   Until then, have a great weekend.
