With Faith There is Hope

Hello, Patricia here with another card for the "With Faith" theme.  The card is called, With Faith, There is Hope.  I made the card simple, and it is using a technique I saw on a You Tube video a few months ago.  There is, however, a lot of prep work, before putting it together.  I had fun making it.  Sometimes, you can get inspiration from a video, especially on different techniques, but I am glad you stopped by to take a look today.  While you are at it, if you want to see how I made this card, as well as instructions on how to make your own, stop by MDN Creates, and then come back to enter the challenge, which today is the last day for August.  In the meantime, stop by tomorrow to see what Lucy has for you.  With Faith is still the theme.  I will talk to you later.

A Card of Faith

1 Corinthians 2:5

So that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power.

If  you have lived in this world very long you have had some bad days. Days in which you weren't sure you could get through them. Days when you had reached your limit. However, if you have faith that God is still in charge of your life. You could then reach out to him and he would refill you with hope, patience, love and wisdom. This card is a great card to give to a friend to reminded her that God is still there. Not only does he have what you need, he will fill you back up with it! Add some hot tea packets and a small tea pot along with your card. You will have a friend that knows you care what she is going through.
Hello Card makers!!
Welcome to the CAB blog. Thanks for stopping by

This is Terri from http://ramblingsofatexascraftroom.blogspot.com/. Today I have a simple card about faith. Here is how I made this card.

I used some colored card stock, a couple stamps, a die cuts and a punch.
I used black card stock for my card base.
I choose some lite blue pattern paper, then I used some alcohol inks and inked over the card stock with a darker blue ink.

I then choose a script stamp and inked it with Gold ink. I then stamped my blue card stock. I have a tea pot stamp ( from Micheal's dollar bin) I stamped that on top of the gold scrip.

I stamped the tea pot with black ink.
I used a punch for the label. I inked up a clear stamp (from my stash) with black ink and stamped the label. I used pop dots under the label.

If you don't have a script stamp, you could easily use a page from a book to get the same effect. For the inside of the card I cut a 4 inch cut from The Elegant Edges cart. The one I used is from page 25.

Thanks for stopping by today. Be sure and come by tomorrow. We will have another new card for you.

Milestone Birthdays: Young and Old

"The theme on Card A Day Blog is Milestone Birthdays. Well in my little ones life every year so far has been a milestone as we watch him develop and learn new things and become so much of his own person. (We tend to equate Milestones with an older set of Age 40-50-60. Yikes. I don't even want to think about my 40 next year. It's gonna be fun!!  ) And for us these little blocks that kill our feet along the way as we step on them have come in every size and make. He even entered his own display in the fair! Pretty cool. Enough bragging. I know I apologize."

Kelly added her own take to this file of mine for her nephew.

Every year is a Milestone. You made it another one and hopefully a wonderful one!

This is the outside of the card...

This is the inside of the card.

Thank you to Kelly S. For such awesome creations using my files.
And if you want more one where to get this file you can visit my blog, Visual Designs by Chris

Everyone have a wonderful wonderful weekend!!!

18th Birthday Card

Hello, it's Cindy from the THE CREATIVE POINTE back with my take on the  "Milestone" Birthday card theme to share with you.  My nieces and nephews are turning into adults right and left.  In a few months another one of them will hit the adult milestone of "18".  To celebrate, I created this diecut card that uses my Sure Cuts A Lot (SCAL) program to quickly and easily cut out the pieces so that I could get to the fun step of "blinging" it up right away.
For all the details, along with multiple pictures and a link to purchase this card file, please check out my blog.
Join us back here tomorrow when Michelle Hessler will have another great card to share!

Be Cheerful...

Hello, Patricia here to bring you another card in the Cheer Up theme week.  Today, I decided to go random with my card.  I am dealing with scraps again, and this turned out OK, but I have something on there that does not quite belong.  For today, I did it on purpose, but there are times when you want to cheer up someone, and this may be the only items you have, and you need to make it work out.  Who knows, maybe this quirky little card may do the trick to cheer a person up.  you will never know.
Anyway, come over to MDN Creates  to see how I made this quirky little card.  This is the last day for this theme. come back tomorrow, which is the start of a new theme, and see what type of card Kelly has made for you.  In the meantime, have a wonderful day.

Cheery Up Card

Hello Card Markers!
Thank  you for stopping by today to see my Cheery Up card. I loved making this lite hearted card to cheer up a friend. When I found this Mary Engelbreit tissue paper with large cherry's, I thought what a cute card this tissue paper would make. I used a spellbinders die, some tissue paper and cling wrap to make this card. Tissue paper and cling wrap??? Yep, Come on over to by blog where I have a 2 video's on how to use tissue paper or a napkin and  simple cling wrap to make a great card. This opens a whole lot of new possibilities for decorative paper.

Make your own embossing folders and a baby announcement!

Hi it's Laury again with another card and a tutorial on my blog. Today's card uses a handmade embossing folder (tutorial) to personalize a baby announcement. My DD is expecting at the end of this month. They are planning to name the little guy Micah so...

I also created one that was all one color. These cards are super easy and fast to make, perfect for mass production.

I am leaning toward the first one but hubby likes the second.... If you have never tried making your own embossing folder, they are easy. Jump on over to my blog to see how. I use a digital die cutting machine, however the same technique shown could be used with hand cut images.

I also show several other types of embossing so check it out. I hope you are inspired to try something new! Check back tomorrow for more inspiration from Kelly George.
Thats all for now
